Montezuma’s Well National Monument

The second stop on my Northern Arizona day trip was at Montezuma’s Well National Monument. MWNM protests a desert oasis, an incredible natural spring and several small cliff dwellings.  I highly recommend making this part of your day especially if you already visiting Montezuma Castle NM just to the south. These are only fifteen minutes or so apart and Montezuma Well is incredible. You must see it. There is no visitor’s center and few facilities, so plan accordingly. I spent more time exploring here than I did at Montezuma Castle. It’s that impressive.
