Hieroglyphic Canyon Trail

My Subaruing adventure this weekend took me to popular Hieroglyphic Canyon Trail in the Tonto National Forest near Apache Junction, AZ.  I visited and hiked with a great group of guys and gals from a local meet up group. There were about twenty of us. We arrived at the trailhead around 10AM and the weather was perfect!

I had a lot of fun on this hike. The trail is rugged and rocky, yet is easily traversed. Towards the end, there are thousands of ancient Indian petroglyphs. If you’re in the area, have some time and are looking for an enjoyable short hike, I’d recommend it!
